Luigi Valadier, Cafetière, ewer and salver, c. 1768, graphite, pen, brown ink, brown wash on paper, 215 x 355 mm. The forms and decoration of these three pieces are very close to those of the papal set belonging to Cardinal Domenico Orsini d’Aragona made by Luigi Valadier in 1768-9 and now in the Cathedral of San Nicola in Muro Lucano (Agresti 2017; González-Palacios 2018, pp. 337-346, with preceding bibliography).
