Luigi Valadier, Silver oil lamp with circular grooved base, stem in the shape of a Doric column, labrum with lions’ heads for the lamps, grooved vase at the top, c. 1780, graphite, pen, brown ink, brown wash on paper, 335 x 235 mm.; inscription in pen bottom left: “Alta palmi due in tutto / Peserà libre sette e mezza / Importerà di fattura scudi trentacinque”.
